Hi Crafty Friends! Today, I have this fun light up card featuring the Halo Light from Pear Blossom Press. If you came here from the Pear Blossom Press Blog, Welcome!! I used the Whimsical Wreath Builder Set and Stampwheel from Altenew to create this card.
ALL SUPPLIES ARE LISTED BELOW!!
First, I created the wreath on an A2 panel of white cardstock. I used the Stampwheel with the Whimsical Wreath Builder Stamp Set. The grid marks on the Stampwheel makes it easy to build a perfect wreath. I used Fresh Dye Inks in Indigo Skies, Crystal Violet, Apline Aster, Water Hyacinth, and Warm Sunshine to stamp all the images. To fill in my wreath a bit more, I used a Fine Liner Pen to add dots around the images. I then picked a circle from a Nesting Circle Die Set that was just slightly smaller than the inside of the Halo Light. I die cut the center of the wreath with this circle die. I used a paper trimmer to cut 1/8″ off of all sides of this panel.
I created a background panel by going direct to paper with the Crystal Violet Fresh Dye Ink Pad around all four edges of an A2 panel of white cardstock. Then in the middle I made a large circle going direct to paper with Water Hyacinth Fresh Dye Ink.
I put the battery into the Halo Light. I flipped the wreath panel over and placed the Halo Light around the middle opening. I used a pencil to mark where I needed to stamp PUSH on the front of the panel. I stamped PUSH from the PB Press Stamp and Die Bundle using black ink. Using the World’s Greatest Foam Tape, I added it all over the back of the panel making sure to secure the Halo Light in place tightly. I removed the release paper from the World’s Greatest Foam Tape and placed it onto the back panel that I added ink to earlier.
Then, I heat embossed the circle Hello sentiment with black pigment ink and clear embossing powder. I used the coordinating die from the Whimsical Wreath Builder Set to die cut the circle Hello out . This was adhered directly to the center of the open circle of the wreath onto the back panel. I used liquid adhesive so I could move the sentiment to get it right in the middle.
To finish my card, I added some blue jewels around different images in the wreath. I love the sparkle this adds. I adhered the entire panel to a heavy weight top folding card base.
I hope you enjoy this fun light up card. The Halo Light is super unique and adds so much to a card. Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you are inspired to make a light up card. See you next time!!
Happy crafting! April
