MICA STAIN WREATH CARD – SWEET N SASSY STAMPS

Hi Crafty Friends! Yes, I am still on my old blog but will be moving next week when I have some time to build my new site. I can’t wait for the move. Thank you for understanding that things may look a little different during this transition.

I got out my beautiful Distress Mica Stains to create a wonderful wreath with the Foliage Silhouettes Die Set from Sweet N Sassy Stamps. I am loving all the Distress Sprays and Stains lately and am grabbing for them to use in many projects. I have a YouTube Video on my channel showing my process for this card. To see the step by step details watch my video.

You can spray panels of white cardstock with your mica stains or do as I do for this card and die cut the images then spray using one or two colors for each die cut image. Remember that mica stains contain mica which settles in the bottle. Shake from side to side like you are ringing a bell to mix the mica with the pigment. I find this easiest if I lay my mica stain bottles on their sides.

Mica stains do take some time to dry so please allow for that. You can use a heat tool to speed up drying but I find it best to set the images aside to dry naturally.

The Speckled Egg Distress Spray Stain does not require much dry time and makes for beautiful background panels but there are so many options to use the spray stains for.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are having fun making your holiday cards and other items like gift tags. If you have any spray stains or mica stains, I hope you get them out and make some cards. I love that I get a little inky using these products and each project is unique when using them. Again thanks for your patience as I transition my blog to a new site so that I can bring you content in a better way.

Supplies can be found in the description block of my YouTube Video, you can find that here. Once my blog is moved, I will once again have all the links listed (but in an updated easier to use format) in each blog post and will be posting more often.
