Hi crafty friends! This cute card is part of the Let’s Get Sentimental Video Hop with the Altenew Certified Educators. So please, if you already haven’t, check out the video and hop along for some great inspiration. There are some great giveaways for the hop that you won’t want to miss.
I used two of my favorite Altenew products for my card. I love the Blobby Roses Stencil Set and the Versatile Greetings Die Set. The Blobby Roses also comes with coordinating dies which offers you so many options with this stencil set.
The video gives you all the details for this fun card, and allows you to see the raised words so much better. I love stacking my word dies to give great dimension.
A question I get asked often is why stack your dies instead of using foam tape. The answer is easy. For word dies it is just easier for me than cutting small thin pieces of foam tape to put behind the letters. However for images, it is more of a creative decision. If I want shadows from what I pop up then I use foam tape. If I just want dimension then I will stack multiple die cuts.
I also love words with shadow dies. I used the shadow die here to create the black outline and then added my words into that negative space. In person this easily seen and gives a different looks than just putting the word with shadow on top of the card. I just couldn’t not pick this up in a photo. I tried. Glossy Accents also helps to make the words stand out more. I love to add it to word die cuts on cards.
