Hot Foiled Ombre Rainbow

Hello Crafty Friends! I know it has been a while but I am trying to get back into a schedule and even plan to film a YouTube video soon. We got a new puppy and I forgot how much time they take. He has been with us a month and is kind of getting into a routine (or at least we hope he is).

Today I have a Reel on Instagram featuring this fun card. Make sure to check out the reel to see how this card came together. I took a Glimmer class from Spellbinders several weeks ago and have been having so much fun with all my hot foil plates.

**All Supplies are Listed Below!!**

I have had this Modern Rainbow Hot Foil Plate from Altenew for a while now and it was perfect for this card. I used a half sheet of Hammermill Cardstock and Matte Silver Foil to create my background. I foiled the plate 5 times so I could get a full A2 background panel.

After this was foiled I used Pawsitively Saturated Inks from Simon Says Stamp in Ocean, Surf and Seafoam to ink blend over the foiled panel. I love that you can ink blend and color (even with alcohol markers) over a hot foiled image. I ink blended starting with my lightest color (Seafoam), then Surf and ending with the darkest of the trio (Ocean). I love the Altenew Large Blending Tool for ink blending large areas. It works so well and I love the handle.

I used a rectangle die to die cut an A2 panel from the ink blended cardstock. I then hot foiled Hello, a comma and Friend from the Versatile Greeting Set. I used the Glimmer Specialty Paper and Moondust Foil for my words. The Glimmer Specialty Paper makes hot foiling so easy. I then die cut the hot foiled images plus 3 more times from scrap white cardstock. I layered these together for dimension.

Next, I hot foiled the Hexi Gems Sentiments on black cardstock using the Matte Silver Foil. I love this sentiment set as it has a die that cuts all the sentiments at one time.

I then adhered my words and sentiment strip on my background panel and adhered this to a top folding heavy weight card base.

I love all the shine on this card. Hot foiling can make a card really shine and I love it. If you have a Glimmer machine I hope this inspired you to get it out and make some beautiful projects with it. Thank you so much for stopping and I will see you next time!!
