Himalayan Mayapple Mini Promo Set – Altenew

Hi crafty friends!I am really enjoying the Mini Promo sets from Altenew. This Himalayan Mayapple is super cute. The best part about these tiny stamp sets is there are coordinating dies.I do not really enjoy fussy cutting.I went to google to help me decide what color my flowers should be.If I am having a hard time with a floral image, I just google images of that flower to get some ideas.

ALL SUPPLIES LISTED BELOW!!

I made a background panel by running a 4.25×5.5″ piece of Slate Cardstock through my die cutting machine with the Playful Circles 3D Embossing Folder.I wrapped some black and gray twine from my stash around it from top to bottom.I then adhered this directly to a top folding heavy weight card base.I set this aside to dry with a few heavy acrylic blocks on it.

I stamped my flower and leaves twice on watercolor cardstock (I used Distress Watercolor Cardstock) with Obsidian Black Pigment Ink and heat embossed with Crystal Clear Crisp Embossing Powder.

Using Watercolor Brush Markers, I watercolored my images.I dropped pigment from my markers onto my glass work surface then added a little bit of water.I then used a paint brush to watercolor my flowers and leaves.I used Citrus Burst from the Winter Wonderland Set and Orange Cream from the Autumn Festival Set for my two flowers. For the leaves, I used Moss from the Spring Garden Set.

Once these images were dry, I used the coordinating dies and my Mini Blossom to die cut the images.Using Instant Dimension Foam Tape on the two flowers and four leaves, I popped up my images over my twine in the middle of my background panel.

I heat embossed the sentiment with Obsidian Black Pigment Ink and Crystal Clear Embossing Powder.I used the Featured Sentiments Die Set (my favorite sentiment die set) to die cut the sentiment and adhered it directly to the background with part sticking off the edge of the card.I used a generous amount of glue as it will only adhere to the raised part of the embossed background panel.Once dry I cut off the part of the sentiment that was hanging over the edge of the card.

These small stamp and die sets are often overlooked because there are only a few images in them. But they really are versatile, can be used in many ways and are a wonderful price point.I hope you enjoyed my card and these sweet flowers.Thank you for stopping by and I will see you next time.

Happy crafting!April
