Embossed Snowflake Background – Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps

Hi Crafty Friends! I am 100% in Christmas card, tag and project mode. I love creating for Christmas. It brings me so much joy. The Large Snowflake Background stamp from the October release at Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps is one of my favorites. I love all background stamps but this one is extra special.

I created my background panel using a piece of Hawaiian Shores cardstock (3 3/4×5 1/2″) and the Large Snowflake Background Stamp. I stamped with VersaMark Ink and used Halo Glitter Embossing Powder then heat set this. The glitter is hard to see in photos but beautiful in real life. I sprayed some Frozen Egg Mica Stain over this and let dry.

I took a scrap of white glitter cardstock from my stash and die cut it with one of the Scallop Border Dies. I adhered this along one edge of the background panel. This made my panel 4×5 1/2″. I wrapped some ribbon from my stash around the middle then adhered this to a top folding heavy weight card base using Fun Foam.

I heat embossed one of the stamps from the Christmas Hymn Word Art Stamp Set using Detail Silver Embossing Powder and VersaMark ink on Vellum. Make sure your heat tool is really hot before heat embossing so it doesn’t burn or warp the vellum too much.

I layered this on a piece of Hawaiian Shores cardstock that backs just the words. I popped this up over the ribbon and added some silver pearls to the card.

I am having a ton of fun with ribbon and twine. I love the dimension and texture it adds to my cards. I have a vast collection of ribbon/twine and it feels good to use it. Thank you so much for stopping by and I will see you next time. Happy crafting!! April
