Easter Bunny Card – Pixi Dust Designs

Hi crafty friends! Easter is right around the corner, and I need to get ready. I am starting with this sweet Easter Greetings card using the Easter Bunny Stamp Set from Pixi Dust Designs. I am so excited to be new to the Pixi Dust Designs Design Team.

ALL SUPPLIES ARE LISTED BELOW!!

I began by creating my background panel. I grabbed the sweet carrot stamp from the Easter Bunny Stamp Set. Using an acrylic block, I stamped this carrot all over an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor Cardstock (on the smooth side) using Unicorn White Pigment Ink. Then I poured Wow Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder over the panel and heat set the images.

I then grabbed Distress Spray Stains in Spun Sugar, Saltwater Taffy and Picked Raspberry along with Spiced Marmalade Oxide Spray. I sprayed the panel with water then sprayed some Spun Sugar , Saltwater Taffy and Spiced Marmalade on the panel. I dried this with the Heat It Tool from Ranger. I did this two more times to add depth to the panel. Then I spattered some Picked Raspberry over the entire panel and lightly sprayed with water then dried completely before trimming this down to 4×5.25″.

Next, I stamped the bunny once and the carrots and flowers multiple times on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with black pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored all the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I used a blender to blend out all my colors instead of using multiple shades of markers of the same color. For the bunny, I used Warm Gray 2, Cool Gray (tail), and Pink Haze (cheeks and inside ears). The flowers were all colored using Lilac, Light Green, Bright Yellow, and Peach Pink. The carrots were colored with Orange and Light Green. I then fussy cut all these images.

I used an oval from Honey Bee Stamps Sweet Stack Ovals to cut a piece of white cardstock to put my bunny on. I adhered the bunny and a few carrots in the middle of the oval. I did pop up one carrot with a thin small foam square. I arranged flowers along the top and bottom of the oval popping up a couple with thin small foam squares.

I wrapped the background panel with some thin seam binding and tied a bow to one side. Then I used foam tape to pop the oval up over the ribbon. I stamped the Easter Blessing sentiment with black pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I die cut this with the Featured Sentiments Die Set from Altenew. I adhered this below the oval and adhered some additional carrots around the sentiment strip.

To finish the card, I adhered this panel directly to a top folding heavy weight card base.

The images in the Easter Bunny Stamp Set from Pixi Dust Designs are super cute. I could color the cute bunnies all day. I hope you enjoyed this card and are inspired to start you Easter projects. Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you next time.

Happy crafting! April
