Creating A Text Background Panel

Hi crafty friends! I love text backgrounds for a background panel on a card. However, I do not own a ton of large background stamps. So I love to grab a multi line sentiment and create my own. My video on YouTube shows you how I made this background panel using the awesome Great Friends Stamp Set from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps. Click photo to head over to my video!

The Great Friends Stamp Set has several multi line sentiments that could be used to create the background panel. I am loving kraft cardstock right now and this background ended up so great.

I tend to use an acrylic block with creating a background panel with a sentiment stamp. And because I ink blend the edges and spray the background panel your stamping doesn’t have to be perfect. This panel was not perfectly stamped.

I loved how the Olo Alcohol Markers worked on the kraft cardstock. Just be sure to not over blend as it will bleed and always use ink meant for alcohol markers.

I have been reaching for ribbon from my large ribbon collection to add to my cards lately. I think ribbon softens a card and gives it great dimension. I also love using products that I have collected and need to use so they aren’t just sitting in a drawer.

To see how I made this card, make sure to jump over to my video and see how I did it. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you look at the potential your sentiment stamps have and make your own background panel using them. See you next time
