Ironically I don’t drink coffee but am married to a coffee lover. My husband takes his coffee very seriously. So my card is inspired by him and he said he would love to receive this card. I love all the fun coffee related products from Kat Scrappiness. The Coffee Splatter Stencil is so adorable and it is versatile. It can be used for a tea or hot cocoa lover as well. I am a tea lover and have a great friend who never misses her daily cup of hot cocoa.

I am not sure why but hot drinks seem to always make some sort of splatter or leave a ring on a surface. Coffee lovers totally can relate to this ring and that is why I grabbed it for my background. I also know that the first thing coffee lovers go for in the morning is their hot cup of coffee to start the day.
- I began by ink blending my background panel which was a panel cut down to 4×5.25″ piece of Distress White Heavy Stock. I ink blended with Antique Linen, Walnut Stain and Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Inks. I went from light in the center to darker around the edges.
- I then stenciled the coffee cup ring and splatters from the Coffee Splatter Stencil using Ground Espresso.
- I used some water to splatter over the panel to add a bit more distressing the panel. I set this aside to dry.
- I cut a 1×5.5″ piece from the Perk-Up Paper Pad. I then glued this to the long side of my Timber cardstock panel on the left side.
- When the ink blended panel was totally dry I prepped this piece with my Telescopic Embossing Powder Tool, stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, and clear embossed my large sentiment from the Let’s Get Caffeinated stamp set.
- On the inside of a top folding heavy weight card base, I stamped another sentiment. This one I grabbed from the Perk-Up stamp set. Such a cute sentiment!!
- I stamped this with black ink, then I added some coffee beans from the Let’s Get Caffeinated stamp set with Ground Espresso Ink.
- I added some fun foam to the back of my stenciled panel and added to the right side of my Timber cardstock panel.
- To finish off this card, I added a sprinkling of Coffee Pearl Mix before adhering the entire panel to my top folding card base.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop.
