Bold Blossoms – Sweet N’ Sassy Stamps New Release

Hello crafty friends! Sweet N’ Sassy Stamps has a New Release today featuring some great spring products. I use several today for my shaker card. I love a good shaker card and I love how this one came together. Pink is favorite color and I love combining it with light peach to create soft cards.

I created a soft emboss resist background using white embossing powder with the large Bold Blossoms Background Stamp. I ink blended with Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose to create my resist background. Make sure to wipe the ink off the embossing after you are done ink blending. I just use a microfiber cloth to do this. **All products for this card are listed below!!

I then stamped my flowers and leaves from the Bold Blossoms Stamp Set in black then used clear embossing powder over the ink then heat set. I colored these with a paint brush, water and several distress oxide inks (Spun Sugar, Tattered Rose, Kitsch Flamingo, Saltwater Taffy, Bundled Sage, and Rustic Wilderness). After they dried I used the coordinating dies to cut all the images out.

I next die cut the largest circle from the Sweet Scalloped Circles Die Set, then used a circle die to cut a piece of acetate to fit under this die cut. Make sure to cut one that doesn’t show from the front. I adhered the acetate to the back of the scalloped circle then used some foam strips to create my shaker. I took the release paper off the foam strips to make them curve around the circle easily. I used some shaker bits from my stash to fill my shaker. I like to place my shaker bits on the background panel then put my shaker part (scalloped circle) over them. Just make sure they are all in the middle where they won’t get stuck under the foam strips. Press firmly.

I then added my blossoms in the upper left part of my circle. I added a white embossed sentiment on some black cardstock below the shaker. I did offset it to the right side. I felt this balanced the card really well. I grabbed a few pearls and added those to the card and shaker. Lastly I added this panel to a top folding heavy weight card base.

This card is wider that 4.25 so it will not fit in an A2 envelope. I will mail it is a larger envelope, like an A6 or A7 envelope. Shaker cards usually need a larger envelope because of the thickness anyway.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Please go check out the new release at Sweet N’ Sassy Stamps!
