Hello, my crafty friends. It has been too long since my last blog post. October was a very busy month for both me and my family.
Today I have for you my card from the Let It Shine Class for Level 1 of my AECP. I love all things shiny and glittery so this class taught by Carissa Wiley was perfect for me. I used multiple techniques from the class for this card. I learned some fun new ways to add shine to my cards.

I choose to make a slimline card this time. There is something about them that make me smile. The Playful Plumeria and Label Love sets were my choices for this slimline card. I used masking paper to stamp two different colored flowers and my leaves. For one flower I used Altenew’s Chamomile, Marigold, Autumn Blaze and Fire Brick mini ink cubes. Then for the other flower I choose Sunray, Maple Yellow, Honey Drizzle and Snapdragon. The leaves were stamped with Parrot, Olive and Moss. I know that is a lot of mini ink cubes but I had so much fun.

For the bottom panel I used some sticky tape and gold foil I had in my stash from Gina K Designs. Make sure to press the foil firmly into the sticky tape. I stamped my sentiments in Maple Yellow and Autumn Blaze, then stamped with Versamark before adding some Nuvo clear embossing powder. I heat set these and the pictures do not do them justice. Also a stamp positioner is really needed for this technique since you are stamping the image twice. After adhering my top panel to the bottom panel, I adhered them to a heavy weight card base with Altenew’s Glue Tape. I added some sparkle to all the flowers with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen as well as used it to add some splatter on the card. Unfortunately this sparkle is hard to capture in a photo so can’t be seen. I finished with a few sequins from Honey Bee Stamps.
Thanks for stopping by to see my latest creation. I hope you learned something new and give it a try.
